Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GenoMethods handles personal information from readers, sources and contributors.

Information we collect

When readers contact us, we may receive a name, email address, message subject, message text and consent record. We use that information to respond, route editorial feedback, investigate factual issues and manage privacy requests.

Technical logs may include browser type, approximate location, device information, referral pages and security events. These data help keep the site stable, measure readership patterns and prevent abuse.

Use and retention

Editorial correspondence is retained only for the period needed to handle the request, maintain source relationships, document corrections or satisfy legal obligations. Privacy requests can be sent to livelong@genomethods.org.

We do not sell reader correspondence. If a message contains sensitive health or genetic information, we limit internal access and use it only for the purpose for which it was sent.
