Editorial Control

Advertisers do not approve independent editorial articles, control corrections, require favorable coverage or suppress accurate reporting.

The presence or absence of an advertising relationship does not determine whether GenoMethods covers a company, technology or subject. Commercial support and editorial relevance are separate considerations.

Rankings and Reviews

Advertisers cannot purchase a higher editorial ranking, favorable score, positive independent review or favorable editorial conclusion.

Ranking conclusions should follow the applicable methodology rather than the commercial relationship, visibility or advertising activity of an evaluated organization.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors and contributors should disclose relevant financial, commercial, professional or personal relationships that could reasonably affect their work. The purpose of disclosure is to identify relationships that may be material to editorial judgment, not to imply that every professional connection creates a conflict.

A contributor should not knowingly cover an organization in which they have an undisclosed material financial interest.

Partnerships

GenoMethods may consider research, data, media, expert or institutional collaborations relevant to biotechnology.

A partnership does not give an external organization control over independent editorial conclusions, unrelated coverage or corrections.

Changes in Ownership or Funding

If material ownership or funding arrangements change, GenoMethods may update this page and related policies so readers can understand the current relationship between ownership, commercial support and editorial responsibility.
