On October 13, 2026, Lisata appointed Jeffrey Farrow as a Class III director, expanding its board from seven members to eight. An 8-K filing dated October 14 details the change. Farrow’s initial term runs until the company’s 2028 annual meeting.
He will also serve on the Audit Committee. CEO David Mazzo said Farrow’s experience guiding companies through development and strategic outcomes would benefit the board as Lisata advances its programs. The company’s lead candidate, MAR001, entered Phase 2b development for severe hypertriglyceridemia after Lisata acquired Marea Therapeutics. MAR002 is being developed for acromegaly.
Farrow has served as chief financial officer and chief strategy officer of Tarsus Pharmaceuticals since April 2023. He also sits on the boards of Clover Biopharmaceuticals and Achieve Life Sciences, where he chairs the audit committee. Earlier, he was CFO of Global Blood Therapeutics from 2016 to 2022, through its acquisition by Pfizer. He served as CFO of ZS Pharma until AstraZeneca acquired it in 2015. From 2010 until its acquisition by Horizon Therapeutics in 2015, he was CFO of Hyperion Therapeutics. Before that, he held financial leadership roles at Evotec AG and Renovis, following seven years in KPMG LLP’s audit practice. Lisata’s appointment announcement also notes his board and audit committee experience at Achieve Life Sciences. GenoMethods has covered a separate board appointment in its report on Datavault AI.
“I’m pleased to join Lisata’s board at an important point in the company’s development,” Farrow said. “I look forward to working with the board and management team to help build long-term value for patients and stockholders.”
